Meenakshi is a good girl. She wakes up at five-thirty in the morning. Then, she goes for a morning walk in the park with her father. She takes breakfast at six-thirty. She gets ready for school at seven. She comes back from school at four-thirty in the afternoon. She plays badminton with her friends. At six-thirty, she starts doing her homework and studies till eight-thirty. She takes dinner at eight-forty five and watches TV after that. She goes to bed at nine-thirty.
Rohit is a naughty boy. He wakes up late at six-thirty and has breakfast at seven. He gets ready at seven-thirty. His school-van waits for him every day because he is ten minutes late. He comes home at four-thirty and goes to play cricket. He comes back at six and watches TV. His mother has to force him to do homework. He has dinner at eight-fifteen. After that, he takes out his school books to study. He always falls asleep on his study-table. {alertInfo}
Note to the teacher:
Read out the passage for the students, explaining the meaning of each sentence. Then, divide the class into groups. Let one group read out the first passage, and the other group can read the second.
Then, divide the class into groups of three. Make each group read alternate passages. Try and ascertain which student in each group makes errors in pronunciation or is hesitant. Pick out those students and form a separate group. Let this last group read out the passage again, and correct whatever error is recognizable in their reading.
